To date we have owned/bred the following dogs that have gained

Kennel Club awards our dogs have won

45 Kennel Club Challenge Certificates  and   42 Reserve CC's

How do You Win a Challenge Certificate?

Challenge certificates are won at championship shows where they are on offer for your breed. There are a set of CC’s on offer one for dogs and one for bitches. Every dog that wins its class, unless beaten in another class is called in after the dog (or bitch) classes are judged. The judge will then pick the best dog and award him the challenge certificate. A reserve certificate will also be awarded and if for any reason the winner of the CC is disqualified (and it does happen) the reserve CC winner will automatically be awarded the challenge certificate.

The following dogs also gained Reserve CC's

Challenge Certificates

Your dog will need to win three challenge certificates from three different judges in order to become a champion – sounds easy doesn’t it? There are very few champions made up in each breed every year.

The following dogs we have owned or bred have gained their Kennel Club Stud book numbers -

How to Obtain a Stud Book Number

There are several ways that a dog may obtain his stud book number. By obtaining a Junior warrant, a reserve challenge certificate or a challenge certificate. Depending on the numerical numbers within your breed it is possible to gain a stud book number by being placed first, second or third in the Limit or Open class at Championship shows where challenge certificates are on offer. No dog may have more than one stud book number allocated to him.

26 Kennel Club Stud book numbers to date.

What is a Junior Warrant? JW

A junior warrant is a title that all dogs between the age of six and eighteen months can compete for. Thought of as a junior championship it will show that your dog has the quality to hopefully go on to be a future champion in his breed.

How the Points are Earned

Until you know the system it may be a little hard to follow but basically your dog will have to first win his class whether it is at a championship show or an open show after this the rules can change:

If a class is won at a championship show where challenge certificates (CC’s) are on offer in his breed then he will gain three points for winning a class.

One point is earned for a win at a championship show without CC’s on offer for his breed or at an open show.

If your dog wins best of breed at an open show he can claim one point if he wasn’t able to claim a point for his class win due to low numbers in the class.

There has to be three dogs present in the breed before a dog can claim his points for winning a class.

We are very proud with our dogs achievements.
